7 Random Things About Me

1. I'm listening to Adventures in Odyssey right now.

2. Me and my sis are going to make a movie about two girls trying to figure out what they should make a movie about. Confusing? :)

3. I heard a song this morning from a band called Fiddlesticks- the song is Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing. Great harmonies- I love that.

4. I'm the youngest and probably spoiled. My sister says that I didn't get spanked long enough. :)

What's Up January 5th 2012

After reading Lucia's post about picnik, I figured I should try some not-over-editing on my pictures.
I've used picnik for a while because my photo service offers it. I don't pay for the premium features, like Lucia, but I can still make my pictures look awesome with their fix-it programs.

Before
The lighting a few days ago was amazing. So with a little editing....

Before
I didn't care for the red bokeh but had to stick with it. I think it looks a little better after some editing.

Every year, somebody (I have no idea who) mows the hill behind our house and leaves a bunch of haybales that are very sufficient to play on and to roll around. Somebody rolled two down into some trees at the base of the hill. These are from last summer- and it's so fun to see them here in winter (even though it feels like spring!). I think after editing this one it's almost over-edited, but I was trying to figure out exactly what I should be doing. It wasn't exactly an easy picture. :)

So, picnik rocks and editing is fun. You have to overedit sometimes. :)

Finally!

SO
if you are a cat person then you know exactly what I mean when I say that cats are like THE best pets and even when they are old and fat they do the cutest things.
And things that you can NEVER get a picture of because you're laughing too hard.

Well...

We saw my cat doing this a year ago.

We saw him doing it again a few months ago.

And then a few days ago.

Each time we got out the camera, but before we could snap a picture,
we would start laughing so hard he would jerk up and out of that adorable position.

I'm sure you want to see what made us laugh...

Good news!

We finally got the picture!

L.O.L!!!!!!!!!!!

Blogger of the Year Award!!!!

(Hey everyone, in this post I said I was going to try not to post but the plan has changed!
So I will be posting (just about as much as I always do - sporadically - :))

Before we get to the Award, let's look back on 2011.
What did I do all of last year?
Well, I watched some awesome movies:

We watched this last night- starring 5 kids who played all the roles and are amazingly talented, it is a hilarious movie. My absolute favorite was Ike- 2 years old and can hardly walk or talk! It was so adorable and such a clean, fun movie. It has good morals, too!

The Widow's Might is an absolutely awesome movie! Made by homeschoolers for the SAICFF (San Antonia Independent Christian Film Festival) starring two brothers (in real life and onscreen) John and Gator Moore. At the SAICFF, they took home two prizes- Audience Choice, and Best of Festival! This movie was great, with 8 original songs, and a cheesy western thrown in!
And I just found out that HueMoore Productions (creators of this movie) are in the production of another movie!

Maybe my favorite- The Mysterious Islands is a documentary about the Galapagos Islands. It shows giant turtles, sharks, blue-footed boobies and so many other amazing animals! And here's a plus:
It comes with the world's greatest soundtrack!

In 2011, not only did we chance upon these great movies, we also listened to some pretty rad (don't you think that word's so hip? Lol!) stuff-

The Green Ring Conspiracy - Adventures In Odyssey

Jonathan Park - The Voyage Beyond

I also read/am reading still some wonderful books:

I'm not sure which Andrew Clements I read in 2011 so I just listed a few. :)

I took some great pictures, too (if I do say so myself!)

(My computer wasn't working so I can only load 1 pic :))

And now....
(Since I haven't even done any blogger of the month awards, here it comes...)
The winner....
of the 2011 Best Blogger Award is.....

Congratulations, JesusChick!
I will contact you and send you your award!

Thanks for joining me for this 2011 Review!
