These are my feet. And my favorite way to wear them, too. bare!

These are my feet in NEW flipflops and my old bad shoes in the middle.

my new flipflops!

There is a story behind this-
I have terrible arches- hereditary! So my mom made me a deal. She'd buy me new shoes- dressy, everyday, and outside- if she'd let me get rid of all my old ones.
So I bought these flip-flops, and got another brown and pink pair just like them for variety. I also got Teva sandals for outdoor wear and I have no use for dressy shoes at the moment.
I know, beautiful story isn't it? I bet it brought you to tears.
Well here's something to end this post with a laugh. Dry your eyes and click play!

(P.S.- roses are

one of God's
most beautiful flowers!)

fav 1: Comments.

I couldn't find a picture of comments so here is my analogy.
Comments make me smile and so does Garfield so here is a Garfield comic representing comments that make me smile. :) hehe...

Digging through the archives to find SOOC pics. No editing, no nuthin, pure camera lens...uh.. photography. Lol :).
Well I know I didn't live up to last weeks promise of RED because I remembered that I didn't like red that much. I feel sooo smart. :):) hehe. See y'all next week!

Pretty in Purple blog party

I'm not entering the giveaway, but I'm answering the questions for fun!

  • Favorite thing about summer? Well, this summer I'm really looking forward to camping. Can't wait to get away from the city.

  • Twilight fan?  No. Is there more I can say? It' no.

  • Favorite quote?
"Eve was not taken out of Adam's head to top him, neither out of his feet to be trampled on by him, but out of his side to be equal with him, under his arm to be protected by him, and near his heart to be loved by him."
    Matthew Henry

  • Best thing that has ever happened to you? Becoming a Christian.

  • Think of every place in the world possible... which of those places would you go to? To the country. To a farm in the middle of nowhere, completely surrounded by nature. After that I'd go to a London hat shop with a gift card :) lol

  • Favorite food?  Potatoes... served in lots of different ways. Mashed, whipped, scalloped, baked, fried...

  • What type of music do you like?  Christian soft rock- like Francesca Battistelli and Britt Nicole, also Paul Baloche and MercyMe

  • Flipflops, bare feet, heels, or flats?   bare feet. But I have terribly bad arches so I have to wear shoes that I can put my arch supports in- so I have these cute Nancy-Drew loafers.

  • Skirts or jeans? Skirts!!!!!!! Jeans are so uncomfy to me. I've never liked them, even though I've only been wearing skirts for about a year.

  • Fresh or saltwater?   Fresh. :) It tastes better and saltwater hurts to swim in... like Salt Lake. I've been there once, a really long time ago on a trip.

  • Skittles or M&Ms? SKITTLES!!!!!!!! Yum-mer-ito

  • are you a morning person or more of a night person?  Well I get a crazy half-hour at night but I like mornings sometimes.

  • So, your best friend is talking to a new girl in school... the new girl asks who you are... what do you think your best friend says?  "She's Mary." what else would she say? Unless I was being really imaginative then the friend would say something like, "Oh, her? She's Mary Minship! She's my BEST FRIEND and she's a published writer! Isn't that awesome? She's so sweet and nice and kind and she's so gorgeous!!!" Lol.

  • Pen or pencil? Pencil

  • Paper or plastic? Neither.... plastic leeches bad chemicals into food and paper is paper.... I like glass or ceramic or whatev :). But if I had to choose, I'd choose paper.

    How do you like it?

Comment and tell me what you think!

Have you noticed... I have almost 5,000 pageviews!!! How exciting! Just a few months ago I was reeling with excitement because I had 100 PAGEVIEWS!!!!!! And now... 5,000!!!

Fred and Tree are doing good. It rained today.
    Church was great...
    Yup, I like Sundays.

I've been thinking about doing a Fantasy Fiction Week where, for one week, every post you do is from someone elses point of view. Say, you could write posts pretending to be Rapunzel or something, or a pop star, or an African servant in the 1800's. Would you like to do that?

    With love, Mary

    ....and fred

I saw this at the store the other day and I wanted it.
With a little teeny weeny price tag of 13.00 buckaroodles,
I couldn't resist taking him home. my tree. He is unnamed. Although I did try out a few like Bob and Holly or Polly or Chester or Lentils. I am not naming a tree lentils. My tree was named Lentils for about 1 minute and Bob for less and Polly for like 1 second.
Meet "tree"! Nice name huh? lol.

The shivering leaves make such a pretty sound! I guess that's why they call it a Quaking aspen... d-duh!

I can't forget about the little "sucker" (as the lady at the counter called it) in Tree's pot!

(you can see my lovely toesies in the picture... beautiful I know- ew!)

    Meet Fred.

I named my little tree and not my big one? huh? I know it's backwards...

No those are not raindrops... they are hose drops. I watered Tree from the top down.... oh wait I watered Tree.... and fred. :)

    I love Tree!!!!!! ....and fred.

Someday Tree will grow big and fat and large...and fred.
Ok so Tree is not an apple tree but he will grow big! ....and fred.

    hopefully soon!
    and fred.

I need a new blog background... and button... and header.
So.....I would say "I'm holding a contest for anyone to enter and make me a new header and get me a new background blah-blah-blah." but i only have 13 followers so i would probably get like 1 entry hehe.
So this is just suggestion because I desperately need a better blog look :) and if you would like to help I would be forever grateful until i change my blog look again :)
so just find any pictures you like and get started if you want to!!!!!!!
email your suggestions to me at

p.s. did you notice i figured out how to use the striker? lol

    Dogwood and Strawberries

This was the first time I ever remember seeing dogwood trees. Oh, they are so gorgeous!
From far away they look like pink trees. But even from a car looking at one on the side of the road, you can tell they are each individual, huge flowers. I was so surprised! They look fake.

But they are not! Aren't they pretty? I couldn't capture the real color with my camera... and I was trying manual mode and that is why the picture is so dark hehe :)

And they were all different colors! light pink, dark pink, and white greeted us.

Along with all the springy-leafy-growing trees!

The moon was shining as I could see it up there and so I snapped a shot.

This absolutely gorgeous tree! You know what I like about cameras? They let you see things close up. I couldn't even see what these little pink flowers looked like without my camera so I zoomed in....

But before I show you those beautiful flowers I just had to show you this sun-shiney pic.

here are those pretty zoomed-in flowers

Aren't the GORGEOUS?!?!? I have said that like 5 times in this post... but who cares everything is!

They look like snow, it is so gorgeous (i've said that too much lol) pretty!!

and then we had sweet strawberries!!! We got some a few days ago that were so deliciously at the height of ripeness they were the best I'd ever tasted. Then we got these. They were sweet, but I think since they are still yellow at the ends that means they aren't as sweet. But they were good!

    and they were huge!

    The end!

    Shadows and Silhouettes Photo Contest

I just snapped this shot at random in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart parking lot. It actually turned out quite well aftera teeny bit of editing. So I am entering it in the Shadows and Silhouettes photo contest! I may enter another (you can enter 2 photos if you like- so I don't know....Anyway, here is the picture!

Question: What color do you think this tulip is?
(Answer photo will be posted soon!)
(Vote on the side of my blog!!)

Well, here are some other pics I took!

The leaf and the petal kind of merged together... strange, but it's really cool!

    Almost blooming!

This is a cherry tree growing at the back of our yard....never actually gotten cherries from it. We can see them way up high in the tree, but they aren't reach-able.

Grape Hyacinths- the perfect "ingredient"! We used to play with these all the time. As soon as they bloomed we were so excited because we could "cook" with them and use them as "exotic" foods and "grapes"! :)

    ;) wink

ok so I don't know why I winked.... maybe because I was reminiscing??
    anyhew, bye!
