I have discovered ModCloth.

But for your computer's convenience, I went from about a million pictures to about 17 I think.
So here we go:

Vintage Teacher HeelsVintage Teacher Heels   So, how do you like them? I simply adore vintage, and even though they don't have 40's (they only go back to 50's), I still love a lot of it. 40's may be my favorite but 50's are adorable too, and even *gasp* sometimes the sixties! :)
Signing off,

Twosday Favs 25

1: Calico kittens.... oh, they are so wonderful! They steal your heart the instant you touch their warm fur and when they whisper in your ear, those tiny little meows!!

2: This pioneer gown is so cute! I love the matching hat- everything should have a matching hat! But also, The dress itself is so sweet! The style, the lace, the neckline.... oh, I want it for myself!

See you next Twosday!

That's My Style

Edited to note: This is my 200th post!!! Yay!

Vintage isn't just a time, it's definitely a style! Stores are carrying whole sections of vintage. Lace and pale colors, faded blues and pinks, pearls and gems, are everywhere.

I found this headband- isn't it so sweet? It's adorable. I'd love to have it for myself!

This skirt is wonderful.

My kind of vintage, from the 40's, is usually denim skirt and blouse or full skirt with a petticoat and button-up shirt. Oh yah, that's my style!

This is pretty cute- not sure I like the big red-orange buttons though!

This is too cute of a picture. Don't you just love it?

Thanks for looking- sorry if I've been posting waaaayy to much clothing posts- I just got hit with inspiration! Lol. I'm definitely thinking about asking my mom if I can make a Polyvore account. It sounds awesome! I get some of my pictures there- that's why all the pictures are so small. But it's a good selection of pictures- I love it! See you later,
Mary

Randommmm......

Don't you just LOVE rummage sales???? I DO!!!!!!!!!!!!! We went to one lately and I found some goodies...

BUT first of all I would like to show you something I made- it was a big accomplishment for me because I can't usually sew big things- it took me a few days to do it with my grandma, but I did it!

My crazy-9 patch!

Rummage sales always turn up with something amazing tucked away inside them.

Just a few weeks ago I had been looking at these online:
Square dancing dresses by Entwife on http://www.etsy.com/.

They are just the most adorable square dancing dresses, and I was dying to get my own. The price wasn't right though- nearly 30 dollars a dress. I couldn't do that, especially since I didn't know if it was the right size.

But God likes to spoil me, I guess, because look what I found at the rummage sale...

YAYY!!!! Along with this, I found a purple one (pictures to come soon) and the crinoline to go underneath- making the total price come to.....

$5.00 BUCKAROODLES!!!!!!!!!

Don't you love the yard-saling season?
Yours truly-
Mary ☺

Movie Moments: My Fair Lady

The last time I watched this movie was quite a while ago but it is a charming movie. It's funny that Audrey Hepburn sang in the movie, and her voice wasn't perfect. I guess back then people didn't lip sync (haha).

The classic black-and-white style of My Fair Lady captures our attention with the dramatic contrast and fine detail. All the frills, lace, and ladylike accesories make for a very attractive outfit.

Don't you wish these wonderful nightgowns were still the normal bedtime wear? I think they are very feminine. Not that I would wear them everywhere... that would be quite... strange. But I do love them.

From my point of view I think that the movie could be cleaner but is, all in all, a classic movie that captures the hearts of all who watch it.

Comment Moderation

I'm sorry to say that I have had to enable comment moderation because I got some wierd ones that weren't exactly up to our standards or very pure. In the Bible it says to think of pure and noble things.
Turning to a lighter subject, I found some really cute vintage ads and pictures.
I absolutely adore this coat with the two rows of buttons!

Old Coca-Cola ads are the best!

Don't you love this? I love that vintage housewives wore their hair up!

So I'm not crazy about the actual sweater but the whole vintage look is so sweet.

Vintage jewelry ad! Can it get any better?

Thursday's Dresses 3

Well, I have labeled just about every post I have published on this blog....so now I can make it easier for you to find stuff on my blog! Welcome to Thursday's Dresses! This week's post is all about gingham. Gingham is my favorite!
Downright ADORABLE! I love it!

This one I would like to lengthen a little-- ok alot! But the top is SO cute!! Very nancy-drewish.

I'm not too crazy about this one, but I like the gingham on it. It's more of a prairie type dress.

This is a scary picture haha! Her outfit is like... HIDEOUS!!!!!!!!
NEXT WEEK'S TOPIC....
(blaring trumpets)
the OSCARS!!!
