1. I just did a fishtail braid in my own hair... and I am very proud of it. :) Hehe.

2. Yesterday, we took a drive early in the morning because of some visitors at our house.

Translation:

We had to leave at 4:30 in the morning because a skunk sprayed under our house.

3. I just watched How to Steal a Million, and apart from the millions of smooches they hand off, it's a cute movie. :)

4. I have actually changed a lot of things on my "25 Things to Do before I Die" list because I go back and think, "Why do I want to accomplish that before I die?" :)

5. In this post, I said I had a secret name for my baby chick not even my family knew but I changed it because I didn't like it anymore. Now I've decided that I can't name her until I see her. I have a million good names for a rooster though.

The Ugly Princess and the Wise Fool

I read this book for I think the third time the other night- it's a really fun book! It's a short(ish) chapter book, about... well, about an ugly princess and a fool who is actually a wise man. It's such an adorable little book! I love reading the lighthearted, funny storyline and looking at the humorous illustrations! If you are looking for a story that's not terribly short or long, but just somewhere in between, this is a perfect catch!

Dancing is so much fun- doing the Virginia Reel, Postie's Jig, and Scottish Polka- it's a lot of fun. We went to a dance a while back, with probably more than a hundred people. We did all those dances and other ones, and it was one of the best times!

Acting

Although I don't really participate too much in the other hobbies I mentioned, I act a lot!

It's got to be one of my favorite things. I really enjoy all the aspects of it, and while it is my favorite thing to do or watch, I like so many other things that I can keep busy for quite a while! :):)

My favorite sport: Well.... we watched a basketball game a few days ago, and that was fun to watch. So that might be my favorite, but I think I'd like any of them. Soccer is really fun to play, so for playing sports I'd probably say soccer, and for watching sports I'd say any of them. :)

My favorite hobby: Acting! And tap dance. I'm not taking lessons for tap right now but I still like to practice sometimes. I love the sound it makes, so tap is definitely my favorite to watch. And acting is my favorite to do. I like to watch and do ice skating! :):)

New blog design

I'm trying out a new design- what do you think? Is it too bland and boring? Do you like it or not? Is it classy and simple? Or plain... like eating paper?

Ok... I know this is really random but I figured I can't do a pictureless post. That would be bland. Like the blog background. :):)

Changing Things Up



So, I'm thinking about

changing the name

of my blog.

I haven't done that in a LONG time!!!

So, I need some ideas.

2. (basically) Use pictures, but don't use too many- or too little. Tons of squished font is really boring to read, but like, 25 pictures is too much for internet to load.

Oops.

This is my worst!!!

I hardly ever use my own pictures anymore.... it couldn't be because- *gasp* -I am lazy. So lazy that I don't feel like clicking the shutter button on my camera or editing them. OHHH the pain of clicking the computer mouse!!!!!

I promised you this pic a few posts ago- she'll wear this scarf all day unless someone takes it off her!

(P.S. From now on, I promise I will try my best to include the source of all the pics I get from the internet!!! If I don't, comment and tell me so I can fix it!!!!!!)

3. Use your own photos.

Oops again. I would promise to do at least 1 of my own pictures in each post... but I don't take pictures enough and you would get REALLY bored!!! So... I will try to be more creative. :)

Freezing rain = 1/2 inch of ice in the snow = pain when sledding or hitting your elbow (obviously personal experiences!)

4. If you can, comment on your commenter's blogs!!!

Ok... I've cared about how many pageviews I've had- but I'm humbled when I go to someone elses blog, thinking "I have like 7,000 pageviews!!" and then I scroll down and their pageview counter says something like: 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. :)

I used to feel bad when I posted something other than vintage fashions... but seriously, how boring would it be if that's all I ever posted?!? That would be breaking rule no. 1, anyway. And I don't want to be one of those people who has a seperate fashion blog, writing blog, crafting blog, and photography blog, so I can do whatever on another blog. I have enough trouble posting regularly on 1 blog! :):)
